SBI employees on strike tomorrow

Shimla, Jun 7 (UNI) Employees of 154 branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Himachal Pradesh have decided to strike work tomorrow following the bank management's failure to fulfill the their promises.

The employees of the bank have decided to go on a one-day strike tomorrow following the non-implementation of the agreement reached between them and the bank management in 2005, SBI Officers Association Vice President D K Sharma said here.

He said despite taking up their various demands with the bank management during the last two years, the management has not indicated their willingness to redress their grievances.

The employees in 154 branches of the bank in the state would strike work tomorrow in protest against the management's attitude, Mr Sharma added.
