Sardar Shahar observes bandh for higher court

Jaipur, June 7 (UNI) Sardar Shahar town in Churu district observed a total shut down today as local residents agitated for a higher court.

Churu district police superintendent Girdharilal Sharma said the shops and business establishments remained closed for the day during the peaceful bandh.

A 'jail bharo' agitation demanding upgradation of the Sardar Shahar munisif court into as ACJM court has been organised under the banner of an All Party Sangarsh Samiti in the town for the last five days. As many as 55 people including lawyers have caurted arrest but none of them have sought bail.
