Jharkhand: Rs 2 crore looted from Syndicate Bank

Ranchi, Jun 7: Armed miscreants today looted about Rs two crore from the Syndicate Bank in the heart of the city and injured a person before fleeing the spot.

Around six miscreants entered the bank at 1000 hrs and overpowered the customers and bank employees at gun-point.

They then ransacked the office and looted the cash besides injuring a person before leaving the spot, Senior Superintendent of Police Maninder Singh Bhatia said.

City Superintendent of Police Richard Lakra said as per initial estimates the looted money might stand at Rs two crore.

Police stepped up security and massive search was on to nab the culprits.
