Rain brings respite to city, parts of the state
Kolkata, Jun 7 (UNI) Yesterday's pleasant and welcome rainfall repeated its charm today with showers late in the evening.
With 4 mm of rainfall recorded in the city, parts of the state also received welcome showers that brought the mercury level down.
The Met office recorded the maximum temperature at 34.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 25.4 degrees Celsius.
The maximum humidity was 92 per cent and the minimum was 62 per cent. The Met office forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain and thundershowers in some parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain within 35 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.
