Gujarat: Sex determination tests; Hospital raided
Nadiad, June 7: The local health authorities raided the Gokul Hospital, about 15 kms from here, following reports that the hospital was conducting sex determination tests.
A team, led by Dr Neelam Patel, carried out the raid and sealed a sonography machine at the hospital.
A notice has been issued to Dr Z M Zala of the hospital who was missing when the raid took place. He has been asked to furnish proof of his medical degree. The hospital is run by Ahmedabad-based trust, Zala Medicure.
