Pondy: Muncipality employees arrested

Puducherry, June 7: About 200 members of the Federation of Municipality and Commune Panchayat Employees Association were arrested today when they attempted to picket the Chief Secretariat to press their demands.

The employees, who were carrying out a series of agitations, were demanding, among other things, converting them into government employees, promotion and removal of pay anomalies.
