MPCC to restructure District Congress Committees
Mumbai, June 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Prabha Rau today said her party may soon undertake restructuring of district Congress committees.
Talking to reporters here, Ms Rau admitted about internal bickering and hinted that the party will review functioning of every district, before undertaking restructuring.
On the issue of rebellion within the party, she said the party will not tolerate any rebellion henceforth.
To a question regarding squabbles among party workers at several places in the state in which the Congress is heading the ruling coalition, Ms Rau said ''It is always difficult to run the party than running a government.'' The MPCC chief further said the party has organised a convention of representatives in local self-government bodies from across the state in Nagpur on June 17.
The convention will be attended by all Congress legislators, MPs and Union ministers, she added.
