Manipuri militants arrested in Asom

Guwahati, Jun 7 (UNI) Two suspected Manipuri rebels were arrested by police at Nagaon in central Asom today.

Nagaon SP Krishna Das informed that the two - Jamkhokam and Thangkho Pao - were arrested at the heart of the town when they were on their way from Manipur to Diphu in Karbi Anglong.

Twenty one live ammunition of a 303 Rifle were seized from their possession.

Investigation was on to ascertain the outfit and their motive behind going to Diphu, Mr Das added.
