Kesoram Cement bags award for industrial prod

Hyderabad, June 7: Kesoram Cement, a unit of B K Birla Group, has bagged the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Silver Rolling Trophy instituted by Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) for excellence in industrial productivity.

Announcing the FAPCCI awards here today, Awards Committee Chairman O P Goenka told reporters that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would present the awards here tomorrow.

While the Visakhapatnam Unit of Hindustan Zinc Limited won the award for excellent all round performance, Navata Road Transport, Vijayawada got the award for excellence in worker's welfare.

Bharat Dynamics Limited was selected for excellence in Research and Development in large units category and Lee Pharma Limited among small-scale units.

The award for excellence in Information Technology was won by Prithivi Information Solutions.

Ms B Vijayalakshmi of Chaithanya Dip Moulding Works won the award for outstanding woman entrepreneur.

For outstanding export performance, Volta Impex Private Ltd was selected among large units and Ramalingeswara Rice and Oil Mills among small-scale units.

Aakruthi Agricultural Associates of India bagged the Silver Rolling Trophy for excellence in rural development, while Minwool Rock Fibres Limited got the award for product innovation among large units and Zen Technologies Limited among small-scale units.

Clarion Power Corporation Limited, a LANCO group company won the award for excellence in non-conventional energy development, while Sanghi Polyesters got the award for excellence in environment management.

The Godavari Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited was selected for outstanding contribution for the welfare of destitute women.
