Gemologist hangs self at South Delhi residence
New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) A 43-year-old gemologist allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his New Friends Colony residence in South Delhi reportedly due to financial problems.
Khushal Raji, who recently suffered some finanacial setback and was depressed since then, was found hanging in his bathroom by his wife this morning at their 'B' block NFC residence, according to the police.
He had gone to sleep in his room last night at about 1130 hrs and had locked his room from inside. The room was broken open this morning after there was no reply despite several calls.
Raji was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared 'brought dead', after which the police was called at about 0900 hrs.
The gemologist, who has two sons -- 11 and 15 years of age, was undergoing treatment for depression, his family told the police.
