Four-member panel set up to help dispose 22 bodies of bus victims

Vadodara, Jun 7 (UNI) The State government today announced the setting up of a four-member panel, comprising of top officials, to assist in identifying the bodies of 22 persons who were killed in a collision between a GSRTC bus, LPG tanker and a truck three weeks back.

As many as 22 bodies are lying unclaimed at SSG hospital. Only two bodies have been claimed by their relatives.

The four-member panel comprises of Anand district official, Anand DySP, Petlad hospital civil surgeon and Anand district chief health officer.

Anand Resident District Collector Ishvarbhai Patel said the bodies may be identified through DNA tests. 'In case no one claims the bodies, they will disposed as per rules,'' he said.

The four-member team will visit SSG hospital tomorrow, he added.
