Eight injured in baton-charge in Bhilwara
Bhilwara, Jun 7 (UNI) At least eight people were injured when police used force to disperse villagers who blocked the Bhilwara-Bagaur road today in protest against frequent power cuts.
According to police sources, about 300-400 villagers of Suras Kotadi village, about 10 km from Bhilwara city, took to the streets fed up of the frequent power faliures in their village and blocked traffic on the approch road.
They also burnt the effigy of the superintending engineer of the Ajmer Vidut Nigam.
When the villagers began to march to Bhilwara city to meet the district collector, RAC jawans used force to disperse the crowd.
