Death sentence awarded for kidnapping and murder

Aurangabad, June 7 (UNI) A local court here today awarded death sentence to two people and life imprisonment to as many convicts in a case of kidnapping and murder.

Additional district and session judge Mahatam Prasad found all the four accused were involved in the kidnapping and murder of Tej Pratap, nephew of former RJD MLA Bheem Kumar, the court awarded capital punishment to Yogendar Singh and Manoj Kumar while the other two accused Raghuveer Singh and Rajkumar Gupta were sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to the charges, the convicts had kidnapped Tej Pratap from Barune village under Barune police station in Aurangabad district on December 20,2005 and his body was found one month later in a well at Barem village in the district.
