Conditions favourable for monsoon in AP
Hyderabad, Jun 7 (UNI) Conditions are favourable for advancement of south west monsoon to Andhra Pradesh with weather prediction models suggesting reorganisation and strengthening of monsoon over Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal during the next two to three days.
Rain occurred at most places over Rayalaseema and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the last 24 hours, the weather office said today.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.
Kadiri recorded very high rainfall of 12 cm, followed by Nagarkurnool, Rajampet and Vempalli with nine cm each.
Chief amounts of rainfall recorded in other places were Kanekal ,Koilkuntla, Punganur, Seetharamapuram six each, Holagunda and Owk ,Pargi, Shadnagar, Udayagiri five each, Bapatla, Cuddapah, Dharmavaram, Polavaram four each, Anantapur, Allagadda and Mantralayam, Chilamattur, Kalyandurg, Madakasira, Penukonda, Rayadurg and Tadipatri, Cumbum, Jammalamadugu, Kamalapuram and Rayachoty, Mangalagiri), Ramayampet and Sangareddy three each.
