BCSB urges member banks for cooperative approach

Mumbai, June 7 (UNI) Banking Codes and Standards Board of India(BCSB) today urged the member banks to work towards enlarging the collaborative and cooperative approach with minimal regulatory oversight on issues relating to customers' service.

In its first annual general meeting, BCSB here today addressed the member banks and adopted a statement of accounts of the board for the FY07. A public awareness fund has been created with the objective of achieving greater financial inclusion and encouraging higher service standards in the banking industry through greater public awareness, the board said in a statement.
