Another hot Day in Delhi with temperature touching 42.5 degrees

New Delhi, June 7 (UNI) As northwesterly surface winds continued to maintain strong influence over Northwest India, Delhi experienced another sweltering day with the mercury today soaring to 42.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.

Delhiites are likely not to get any respite from the scorching heat as hot and dry conditions are expected to continue during the next three days.

The met department has predicted the day temperatures to rise increase further and touch 43 to 45 degrees Celsius over the region.

Under the present scenario day temperatures are likely to The minimum in the capital also hovered around the high of 32.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal.

The department has also forecast mainly clear sky and possibility of duststorm during the next 24 hours.

In Delhi, the maximum is expected to touch 44 degrees Celsius.
