Pondy: Agitating AIADMK activists taken into custody

Puducherry, June 7: As many as 500 activists of the AIADMK in Puducherry, including Legislators A Anbazhagan and Om Sakthi Seker, were arrested when they staged a demonstration to condemn DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for his alleged derogatory remarks against AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa.

The agitators gathered near Anna statue and staged the demonstration. They also burnt an effigy of Mr Karunanidhi and copies of DMK party organ 'Murasoli'.
