RINL assures of optimum production level
Kolkata, Jun 6(UNI) Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) today said efforts were being made to ensure optimum production level as supply of raw materials from National Mining Development Corporation (NMDC) continued to be affected.
A press release issued here today said RINL had more than two weeks of stocks of iron ore and all efforts were being made to ensure optimum production.
Assuring that there was no cause for "undue panic", it said alternative procurement plan was also being worked out with support from NMDC and the Steel Ministry under which additional supplies could be mobilised from different NDMC and SAIL mines.
The situation emerged after "certain anti-social" elements crippled normal operations of NMDC at Bailadila disrupting the production of iron ore and its movement to the consuming centre, including RINL, it said.
Stating that normalcy was likely to be restored by June eleven, the release said the state government, NMDC Management and the Steel Ministry had already drawn out an effective action plan to resume normal operations in NMDC.
