Retired man passes higher secondary in Tripura
Agartala, June 6 (UNI) After four decades of his last attempt 69-year old Ramanimohan Pal passed the higher secondary examination this year, results of which were declared today.
Mr Pal set a history of sorts by becoming the oldest student to pass the examination under Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) since it's inception in 1979.
Talking to UNI in TBSE office Mr Pal said, ''I am really thrilled with the result and now ready to get admission for graduation in the Arts stream as a regular student. But I don't know whether my health will permit it.'' Mr Pal is a cardiac patient who underwent a bypass surgery in 1999. He sat for the exams as a private candidate.
He had last appeared higher secondary exams in 1967.
