Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI) Expressing solidarity with AIADMK General Secretary and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha, the meeting of seven regional parties today charged the UPA Government at the Centre and the DMK Government in the state with wreaking ''political vengeance''against her.

Ever since the DMK assumed office in Tamil Nadu a number of cases had been foisted against her, Ms Jayalalithaa alleged ''I am not afraid of such cases. I have been acquitted in 12 cases.

I will fight them in courts,'' she added.

A similar trend of targetting former Chief Ministers prevailed in other states, she said.

Taking strong objection to serving notices to the AIADMK for demolition of its party office building in Chennai, Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu said ''In a democracy, governments come and go. It is not a healthy trend to resortto political vendetta.'' Referring to the notice issued to Ms Jayalalitha by the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Government, for land purchased by her in Andhra Pradesh 40 years ago, Mr Naidu said the ruling Congress was acting as per directions from ''Delhi''.

Stating that there was no clarity in the notice served by the Andhra Pradesh Government, Mr Naidu said the Government had described the land in question as grazing ''poromboke'' land.

The Government also claimed that the acquistion was in violation of the Land Assignment act. ''This is self-contradicting,'' he alleged.
