Nikkei down 0.3 pct as Canon, other gainers sold

Tokyo, June 6: The Nikkei average fell 0.29 percent on Wednesday with investors selling a broad range of recent gainers including Canon Inc. following a fall in Chicago futures and New York and European stocks on interest rate concerns.

The Nikkei share average was down 52.61 points at 18,001.20 as of 0001 GMT, and the broader TOPIX index shed 0.20 percent to 1,772.96.
