Hooda approves Draft Development Plans of seven towns

Chandigarh, Jun 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today approved the Draft Development Plan 2021 of six prominent towns of the state and Draft Development Plan 2025 of Rohtak so that all these towns could be developed in a planned manner.

Mr Hooda's approval to these plans was accorded in a meeting of the State Level Committee of Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana The Draft Development Plans for Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bawal, Sohna, Gual-Pahari, Indri and Panchkula Extension were given approval in the meeting.

Integrated Development Plan 2021, for Panchkula Extension comprised of Alipur Controlled Area and Kot-Behla Periphery Controlled Area. The present plan has been prepared for an assigned population of 2.40 lakh persons for the perspective year 2021.

A total area of 6311 acres would be developed accommodating 100 persons per acre.

In the Draft Plan for Sohna of district Gurgaon about 425 hectares of area would be developed with projected population of one lakh persons.

Similarly, in the draft plan for Gual-Pahari an area of 413 hectares would be developed.

In Indri of district Karnal, an area of 1392 acres would be developed and the town would be planned for a projected population of 47,000 persons by the year 2021.

The Draft Development Plan 2025 for Rohtak was revised for making provision of physical and social infrastructure leading to the decision of setting up of IMT near village Kheri Sadh over an area of approximately 2000 acres. The projected population would be about 9 lakh persons for 2025.

An area of over 3404 hectares would be developed under the plan in Bawal for a projected population of 1.5 lakh persons.
