New Delhi, June 6 (UNI) The construction of the much-awaited Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) second car plant in Alwar district of Rajasthan will kick-start soon.

''The construction of our car manufacturing plant in Rajasthan will begin in two months time,'' company's chief executive officer (CEO) and President Masahiro Takedagawa told reporters on the sidelines of a conference.

The new plant, to be spread over 600 acres, will manufacture Honda's small car in the Indian market.

Apart from the manufacturing unit, the new plant will also have a Suppliers' Park, which will house Honda's network of ancillary units.

The CEO said the plant is scheduled to roll out the first car by the last quarter of the calendar year 2009 or early 2010.

Last month, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between HSCI and the Rajasthan government for setting up the company's second plant in India.

Honda Siel Cars India's current manufacturing unit at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has a production capacity of 60,000 units which will be expanded to 1,00,000 units by the year-end, he added.

The company is mulling to bring hybrid car in the Indian car in a decade's time.

''We are studying the market and plan to bring hybrid cars in India in another ten years,'' he said.
