Mumbai, Jun 6 (UNI) Leading fleet management company, V-Link, which had launched the metered call taxi service 'MERU' in Mumbai this April, has now come up with a unique idea to provide monsoon umbrella service to its passengers.

V-Link Chief Operating Officer Anjan Deb said ''We are committed towards providing our passengers with high quality service, reliable, comfortable and well-organized operations. From inception, one of the core principles and policies that we have emphasised on is customer responsiveness in an effort to provide a product that meets with all the customers' requirements.'' With the monsoon having hit the island city with a sudden ferocity, MERU has taken the initiative to offer all its passengers an umbrella if required to protect them from the rains to reach their destination, he added.

He said, ''We strongly feel that a city like Mumbai needs a significant upgrade in terms of its infrastructure and along with the government of Maharashtra, we are aiming to help people in Mumbai travelling in cabs with all basic amenities to enhance their travelling satisfaction.'' V-Link group founded by Neeraj Gupta in the year 2000 with a fledging fleet management operation in the city grew to provide transportation solutions and is the largest operator in the city of Mumbai, managing a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles till date.

In the latest move, MERU has now started advanced booking for its customers from Andheri, Vile Parle, Santa Cruz, Goregaon, Malad, Vikhroli, Chembur and Powai, in addition to its existing network from South Mumbai to Bandra and Kurla.
