Gurgaon, June 6 (UNI) A Gurgaon court has threatened to issue a non-bailable warrant against middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh if the star cricketer fails to appear in person on the next date of hearing on August 18, in a case relating to a brawl during his 25th birthday party last year.

On his last birthday party on December 12, Yuvraj had allegedly misbehaved with a guest Yuvraj alias Siddharth Mahajan's girlfriend and beaten him in Gurgaon.

Yuvraj Singh's lawyer Vijay Sehgal claimed,'' Yuvraj is not in the country. He has some engagements to attend to in Bangladesh so he could not appear in the court.'' However, Siddharth's lawyer Ayush Tyagi retaliated, saying, the cricketer is in the country.

Siddharth Mahajan's mother Neelam Mahajan, who is a journalist, had filed a complaint with the police, alleging the cricketer got into an argument with her son before breaking into a fight in a drunken state. The complaint also named Yuvraj's mother Shabnam and the cricket's girlfriend Bollywood actress Kim Sharma.

Yuvraj Mahajan was taken to hospital after the incident.

Siddharth had come to the party with Sukhwinder Singh, a friend of the cricketer.

Siddharth's mother Neelam Mahajan later lodged a complaint with the Gurgaon police that her son was beaten and she was threatened by Shabnam and Kim Sharma. She alleged that she and her son were being pressurised to reach a compromise, the report added.
