Congress opposes introduction of enterence test for PG courses
Bangalore, June 6 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council H K Patil today said that Congress will oppose introduction of Common Entrance Test for admission into Post Graduation course as it will cause injustice to poor students from rural areas.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that the JD(S)-BJP coalition government was making a big mistake in introducing the PGCET which would lead to further regional imbalance with deprivation of prime branches to the rural poor in far away places.
Stating that the new measure of PGCET would also hit the autonomy of the University, he said that the Universities could be reduced to the government departments.
