CM directs to take up repair works of NH 9

Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the roads and buildings department to take up maintenance and repair works of NH 9, connecting Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

According to an official release here, reviewing the progress of road works in the state with the officials concerned, Dr Reddy said there were lots of complaints about the condition of NH 9 and hence immediate repair works should be undertaken.

The Chief Minister agreed to take up the issue of upgradation of state highways and district roads to national highways with the Union government.
