Asia XI wins the toss and elects to bat
Bangalore, Jun 6 (UNI) Asia XI won the toss and elected to bat against Africa in the opening tie of the three-match series for Afro-Asia Cup against Africa XI in M Chinnaswamy Stadium here today.
Asia was led by Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayayavardhane, while Africa by South African allrounder Justin Kemp.
Asia left out Dilhara Fernando and Mohammad Rafique, while Africa droped Peter Ongondo and Vusi Sibanda from the 14-member squads.
