AP Govt hikes DA for employees, pensioners

Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today approved enhanced DA at the rate of 5.562 per cent of basic pay and cumulative rate of 24.492 per cent of basic pay with effect from January one, 2007, to its employees and pensioners.

Briefing newsmen after a Cabinet meeting, Information and Public Relations Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said it was also agreed to give an ad hoc increase of Rs 50 per month to part-time assistants and village servants with effect from January one, 2007.

The total financial commitment on this account would be Rs 645.75 crore per annum, the Minister said adding over 12.45 lakh employees including pensioners, would stand to benefit.

UNI
