2-year-old girl killed by own father, elder sibling severely hurt

Mumbai, June 6 (UNI) A two-year-old girl was killed and her elder sibling was seriously wounded by their own father who attacked the two while they were asleep in the wee hours today in a chawl at Oshiwara near here.

Two-year-old Rohini was killed on the spot while Four-year-old Rashmi is battling for her life in a civic hospital here.

Rajendra Singh is absconding and the police are not clear as to why the man attacked his own daughters.

However, police have learnt that Rajendra Singh, hailing from Bihar, had brought his family to Mumbai only recently. Police said Singh was an alcoholic and must have atacked his own children in a drunken stupour.
