Veteran journalist Krishna Maheshwari passes away

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) Veteran journalist Dr Krishna Maheshwari passed away here yesterday.

She was 70.

A pioneer in Hindi financial journalism, Ms Maheshwari is survived by her husband, a daughter and two sons, including noted journalist Pradyuman Maheshwari.

Dr Maheshwari was the editor of Hindi editions of 'Dalal Street Journal' and 'Capital Markets'. She also worked as a freelancer for 'Vyapar' and 'Navbharat Times'.

Her body was consigned to flames at Santacruz crematorium.

Several journalists and prominent people attended the funeral held yesterday.
