Technical Education Quality improvement Mission review meeting

Mangalore, June 5 (UNI) A two-day seventh joint review of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), hosted by The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) at Suratkal, about 20 kms from here, would begin tomorrow.

The meeting would review the progress made in implementation of TEQIP in six Southern States of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat and it would be discussed by the respective State Project Facilitation Unit (SPFU).

The progress implementation of TEQIP in NITS at Calicut, Tiruchirapally, Warangal, Rourkela, Jamshedpur and Suratkal would be reviewed on June Seven, according to a release from NITK.

The National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU) headed by Ravei Mathur, Joint Secretary (Technical) in the MHRD as the National Project Director had selected NITK as one of the two centres in the country for conducting the review of implementation of TEQIP officials World Bank which was the funding agency and the representatives of MHRD and NPIU.
