TCS recruits more than 1100 students in Orissa

Kolkata, Jun 05 (UNI) TCS has recruited more than 1100 students from 10 engineering colleges in Orissa in the current season.

A press release here today said it was the largest in the history of campus recruitments in the state by TCS as well as any IT services company.

Nearly 65% of these campus hires were made to students from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology&Science, ITER and College of Technology&Engineering, all in Bhubaneswar.

The record recruitment, nearly eight times the offers made in the previous year, establishes the state as a major source of engineering talent in the country for the IT major, which already has operations at Bhubaneswar since 2001.
