Special trains to Madurai, Tuticorin

Chennai, June 5 (UNI) The Southern Railway will run two special trains from Chennai to Madurai and another to Tuticorin to clear the extra rush of passengers, as per the orders of Minister of State for Railways R Velu.

The Southern Railway, in a release here today, said the Madurai-Chennai Egmore-Madurai specials would leave Madurai at 2300 hrs on June 12 and June 16 and arrive here at 1000 hrs the next day.

In the return direction, the trains would depart at 2300 hrs on June 15 and June 17 and reach Madurai at 0900 hrs the following day.

The Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore special (train no.619) would leave here at 2300 hrs on June 13 and reach its destination at 1215 hrs the next day. In the return direction, it would leave Tuticorin at 2100 hrs and reach here at 1000 hrs the following day, the release said.

Advance reservation for the special trains would commence tomorrow, the release added.
