Sajid postpones release of 'Heyy Babyy' for Salman's 'Marigold'

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala has postponed release of his upcoming multi-starrer 'Heyy Babyy' by a month.

'Heyy Babyy' starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Vidya Balan was to be released on July 27. But Sajid got to know that Salman Khan's first Hollywood venture 'Marigold' would be releasing on the same date and even his other film 'Partner' would be released around July 20. Hence he postponed the release of 'Heyy Babyy' to August 24, as Salman Khan is his closest friend.

Sajid Nadiadwala says ''Salman is like family to me. It would only be my pleasure to do anything for him. And hence we have confirmed the release of Heyy Babyy in August.'' 'Heyy Babyy' is television and stage anchor Sajid Khan's directorial debut. Nadiadwala says he was looking forward to his upcoming release nothwithstanding the fact that his last production 'Jaaneman' was a flop. Incidently, 'Jaaneman' was directed by Sajid Khan's brother-in-law Shirish Kunder.

Nadiadwala said the USP of 'Heyy Babyy' was its starcast whose forte was comedy and revels in this genre. Akshay Kumar will be paired for the first time with Vidya Balan. Even Fardeen (No Entry), Ritesh Deshmukh (Masti, Apna Sapna Money Money and Bluffmaster) are proven entertainers in this genre too. And with director Sajid Khan at the helm of the film 'Heyy Babyy' just adds to the killer combination, he said confidently.

The high point of 'Heyy Babyy' is that 21 actresses will be performing in a song, and another special song will be shot with Shahrukh Khan.

Director Sajid Khan, who has tickled many funny bones says ''I have made the film putting myself in the audience shoes. I have tried to slip into the skin of the audience. I want to entertain them.
