Rains forecast in coastal Andhra Pradesh, northeast, Telengana
Pune, June 5 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Telangana.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Rayalseema, and at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in Chattisgarh, some parts of Orissa, Vidarbha and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manaipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Rayalseema and in remaining parts of Vidarbha.
Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and north Madhya Maharashtra. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
