Murder accused gets life imprisonment in Haryana

Jagadhri, June 5 (UNI) A local court today held local resident, Rakesh Kohli guilty in a murder case and sentenced him to life imprisonment and also directed him to pay a fine of Rs 5000.

In case of non-payment of fine he would undergo another years imprisonment.

The judgement was handed out by Additional Session Judge Varinder Singh here after hearing the arguments from the defense and procesution counsels.

Kohli was held guilty for the murder of Talwinder Kaur, who was murdered in April last year. After killing Talwinder and concealing here body in a nearby village, Kohli had attempted to commit suicide.

The police during investigations recovered the body of the victim and registered a murder case against the accused.
