Low Pressure brings rain to north coastal AP

Hyderabad, Jun 5 (UNI) A trough of low pressure, formed over Bay of Bengal, brought rains to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

While Kalingapatnam recorded a rainfall of 7 cm, isolated rain occurred over Telangana and Rayalaseema, Weather office said today.

The maximum temperature came down to 30 degree celcius in the port town of Visakhapatnam, while Vijayawada had a high of 36 degree celcius, Tirupati 40.2 degree Celcius and Hyderabad 39.2 degree celcius.

Under the influence of low pressure, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari during the next 48 hours.

Isolated rain and thundershowers are likely to occur over Telangana, Rayalaseema and in the remining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the period.

Parts of Hyderabad are likely to experience rain or thundershowers.

Maximum temperature would be around 39 degree Celcius.

Paderu, Parvathipuram and Tekkali recorded a rainfall of 5 cm each, followed by Bobbili, Prathipadu, Sompeta 4 cm each and Ichapuram, Patapatnam, Ranasthalam and Veeraghattam three each.
