J'khnd MPs will bring adjourn motion on delimitation: Girinath

Ranchi, Jun 5 (UNI) Senior RJD leader Girinath Singh today said all the parliamentarians of Jharkhand should bring an adjournment motion in both houses to pressurise the Centre on delimitation issue.

Talking to mediapersons after an all-party meeting held at Chief Minister Madhu Koda's residence, Mr Singh said the delimitation commission's recommendation for reducing ST assembly seats in state would be stopped by passing a bill in the Lok Sabha.

He also added that the MPs from the state should take initiative in this regard.

Criticising the erstwhile NDA government for its lackadaisical attitude on the delimitation issue, Mr Singh said it was Mr Koda, who initiated and met central leadership on this issue.

Earlier, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee chief Pradeep Balmuchu demanded to freeze the ST assembly seats adding that a delegation would soon meet the central leadership to discuss the matter.
