Hyderabad, Jun 5 (UNI) In an effort to provide employment to all educated unemployed youth in the state and bridge the gap between industry and academia, the Andhra Pradesh government would launch a website to inform the youth about vacancies in all sectors.

''A website would be created which would have details about vacancies in each industry and sector. It would be updated on a weekly basis. The details of training available in each institute would also be available in the website,'' Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said.

Reviewing the state 'Employment Generation Mission' with the officials concerned here, he said there were plans to include the details of candidates in the website so that the companies would choose them as per their requirements.

Allocating Rs 20 crore for the upgradation and modernisation of the existing ITIs particularly in rural areas, Dr Reddy said a focussed approach and coordination between different departments like labour and employment, technical education, industry, textiles and IT would help to generate more employment.

The government was also proposing to synergise the activities of Jawahar Knowledge Centres, Language Labs, Gurukulams and ITIs undertaken by the state council for higher education.
