Goa Cong MLAs authorise Sonia on new CLP leader

Panaji, June 5 (UNI) Newly-elected Congress MLAs met here today and authorised AICC President Sonia Gandhi to decide on the new Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader.

The meeting was held at the official residence of Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane here. It was attended by all the 16 MLAs and AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva.

The process of consultation with the MLAs on the new CLP leader will begin tomorrow, sources said.
