Bihar: Father gets lifer for killing his daughter

Gaya, June 5: A fast track court has awarded life imprisionment to a father for killing his daughter.

The convict was also slapped with a fine of Rs 20,000.

The fast track court judge Subhash Chandra Prasad found Mahesh Mahto, a resident of Jamalpur village under Guraru police station in Gaya district guilty of killing his daughter Puja Kumari, while the other accused Ram Parvesh Mahto, Jageshwar Mahto and Parmila Devi were exonerated for want of evidence.

According to the charges, the convict had killed his daughter following property dispute in 2002.
