Akola ticket booking office refunds Rs 2.5 lakh to passengers

Akola, June 5 (UNI) A local ticket-booking office of the Central Railway (CR) today said it has refunded approximately Rs 2.5 lakh to commuters in the last two days.

On June 3, 17 wagons of goods train derailed near Bodwad railway station in Bhusawal-Badnera section, causing diversion or cancellation of trains, official sources said.

The railway service has been restored since yesterday, official sources said and added that it was not an act of sabotage.
