People go berserk after Amisha Patel fails to attend show

Surat, June 3 (UNI) People went berserk and damaged the stage after Bollywood actress Amisha Patel failed to turn up last night for a charity show, where she was billed to perform.

The incident occurred at the ultra-modern Indoor Stadium. A local organisation Vinayak Vidyapeth had organised the charity show to raise funds for destitute children.

The organisers initially at around 2000 hrs said that Amisha was late as she had gone to attend another programme in Valsad.

However, when she did not turn up even after midnight, the people lost their cool and began hurling chairs and bottles at the stage.

Some even got on to the stage and disrupted the orchestra that was playing at that time, police sources said.
