Nandigram was worse than Rajasthan: Sahib Singh
Amritsar, June 3 (UNI) Dismissing the demand for bringing Rajasthan under President's Rule, BJP vice president and former Delhi chief minister Sahib Singh Verma today claimed that ''it was a demand motivated by politics''.
''The situation in Nandigram was worse than Rajasthan, yet no demand was made for Central rule in West Bengal'', he said while addressing a press conference here.
Refering to the Gujjar agitation, he claimed that Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had handled the situation ''well''.
Ms Raje was trying to solve the Gujjar problem and she should be extended support by all parties, irrespective of their political affiliations. He denied reports that there was any move to change Ms Raje.
