Law to protect traditional fishermen soon: Minister

Kochi, June 3 (UNI) A Bill to protect the interests of traditional fishermen during the trawling ban period, will be introduced in the next Assembly session, Kerala Fisheries Minister S Sarma said today.

After a meeting with various fishermen unions here, he said the matter would be discussed in the Cabinet meeting on June six.

The ban would be effective from June 15 to July 31.
