Mysore, Jun 3 (UNI) Temporary employees of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) have been barred from entering the University premises from tomorrow.

An order to this effect has come from Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi.

The Governor had ordered 'relieving' of 223 temporary employees.

In a letter, the Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the University, asked the Registrar to relieve them from their duties.

As per the Governor's communication, the 223 temporary employees should be barred from entering the University as they were termed 'unauthorised persons'.

The order has come in response to the report submitted by KSOU Prof Sudha Rao to the Governor.

Sources said Prof Rao who is currently on leave, had met the Governor and appraised him of the recent developments in the University.

The Governor, overruling her request for extension of leave, asked her to continue the new recruitment process.

When Prof Sudha Rao was contacted she admitted that she had met the Governor but did not elaborate.

She is expected to resume duty tomorrow.
