IOC to add 1,000 'Kisan Seva Kendra' this fiscal
New Delhi, June 3: In order to serve the rural markets, state-run IndianOil Corporation (IOC) will set up 1,000 'Kisan Seva Kendras' (KSKs), to supply oil to farmers.
''Our target is to put up 1,000 KSKs by the end of this fiscal,'' company's Director (Marketing) D C Daga told reporters here.
At present IOC has 1,300 KSKs all over in the country in rural areas and are doing wonderful business, he added.
He said KSKs accounted for five per cent of the company's total diesel sale.
The KSKs will also sell the non-fuel items, said Mr Daga adding that the villagers will be provided with seeds, fertilizers, and even free of cost clean drinking water.
Nearly 4,000-5,000 people are employed in these 1,300 KSKs.
