Heat wave conditions continue in many parts of country
Pune, June 3 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Jharkhand, west Rajasthan and Chattisgarh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh.
Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh. In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were markedly above normnal in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably above normal in west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and of Chattisgarh and above normal in some parts of Gujarat region and of Konkan and Goa. They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat State, Andhra Pradesh State, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Heavy rain have occurred at a few places in north interior Karnataka.
Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Jharkhand, Haryana, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Kerala and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat State and Tamil Nadu.
