Commission to probe police firing at Mecca Masjid

Hyderabad, June 3 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today appointed a Commission of Inquiry to go into the police firing on a mob near Mecca Masjid after the bomb blast on May 18.

According to an official release here, the Commission, headed by retired High Court judge Mr Justice V Bhaskara Rao, would complete its inquiry and report to the state government within a period of three months from the date of beginning probe.

The bomb blast in Hyderabad's famous Mecca Masjid and subsequent police firing had resulted in the death of 16 people and injuries to several others.
